Well, as i live in Alexandria Egypt, the weather is not perfect for Ariocarpus, the rotten roots is common issue, Crassulacean does not work well as the difference between day and night temperature is not high, i keep some on their root anyway but i want to make sure that i have backup

I have a lot of ferocactus glaucescens, what is your opinion about using them as stock for Ariocarpus seedlings? the seedlings between less than month old and eight months old, how about the success rate and growth rate ? thanks.

But the scion itself looks woody its nearly totally woody.

I have an issue seems occur when I graft Ariocarpus on Hilocereus, I grafted seedlings and the graft succeed then winter came and all goes into dormant, now some seedlings looks woody nearly full woody, even the top of stock near graft joint turned woody, I still can see new growt, and some of them ...

The plant still alive and scion grow the base till roots still green.
I noticed this reaction with Selinicereus, everytime I fertilize with balanced fertilizer, other stocks Heileiocereus seems not affected.

Dear all, I noticed such burns on my selinicereus specially after each time I fertilize I am using 1:1:1 fertilizer
Is it due to high Nitrogen? And if so how I should treat them to fix it? Thanks.

Hello all, i am using hylocereus undatus as stock for awhile, and for my environment it seems the best, but some stocks looks paler than others (lighter green) what could cause so ? higher fertilizer or what ? also is it possible to turn back darker (more olive) as i find it more beautiful, thanks. ...

Guys i tried this technique with Selinicerues as stock , some worked fine, others got rotten, now i have two more plants just lost their main stock , the selinicereus turns yellow, and vascular seems fine, can i keep it stand on this vascular ? instead of digging it into soil?

I usually have this insect in my cactus seeds pots, lead to destroy the roots and the seedling death, is there any recommendations to avoid it ? do you think spraying Malathion on seeds pots could help ? and do you think Malathion is safe for seedlings ??
