Thank you. In the past I used alcohol but obviously I did not complete the job. However I did not repot the plant so that is something I should do,

Flower Buds???

I have a couple of plants that often develop fuzzy buds that I assume will flower...but they don't. Below are two examples. The first one has never bloomed. I'm located in Arizona and this plant is outside all year...100F all summer and 35-45F in winter. I've had the plant for about 10 years. I'm pretty sure that it is infested (again). Thank you all. It appears that this one is not so clear. One comment is that I'm not sure what you mean by "young". I've had this one for over ten years. I will continue to research until the answer is clear.

thank you Hegar....After the initial events I went out and checked the area to get pictures but after getting rid of some of the dirt nothing was left except more dirt and some of the remains of roots.
Bottom line ...no pictures.

Transplanting Agaves

A friend offer me three of her agaves. All I have to do is drive a couple of hours, dig them up and return home. As you can see they are quite mature. What are the dos and don'ts of doing this and maximizing the chances of a successful transplant?
