Why dont you keep it simple then and just grow in straight pumice. Lots of growers do that around LA and it seems to work great. You just have to water and fertalize a little more IMO.

yes, that sounds like a flower stalk. Its that time of year! I find that it is best to transplant when they are in their growing season.

Sorry I am such a flake answering. Been soooo busy running the nursey that I cant seem to have the time to get on here :idea: Yes, it has been that easy for me. I sowed 2 different groups and got pretty much 100% germination both times. Now, I know the seed was fresh because it came off my plant. :)...

So for about 6 months last year I stared at my Whitesloannea crassas every single day watching the seedhorns grow. I ended up with a crap load of seed. so cool. i just love squeezing them. a fellow grower i know always keeps telling me to take a soft toothbrush and remove some of the white crust that the plant builds up. any thoughts on this?

Hey Craig, are they all hybrids you are growing from seed? Is that why you are adding on the extra names?

I've got lots of seed coming up but Im sure its all hybrids (open pollination), Im just looking to see what I get.
