Got this dasylirion today which looks a whole lot like a D. Wheeleri but almost totally toothless with just a few teeth near the trunk on a few of the leaves. Someone else suggested that hey might be sun starved seedlings of Echinocereus pectinatus or Echinocereus rigidissimus which also seems plausable
