Re: My greenhouse and plants

Back in your Nov 2016 pics, you have a Pilosocereus pachycladus mistakenly labeled as Pachycereus pachycladus. Your plants must look great now 5 years later. Some pics?

Re: ID please 3

Your 3rd one (14a) is hard to tell but seems like the gopher plant Euphorbia rigida. Easy way to tell if it's a Euphorbia is to pick off a leaf and see if the sap it milky. Be careful though. If it is clear the plant may well be a Sedum.

Re: ID please 3

Be careful of Euphorbia tirucalli. The latex is VERY irritating and dangerous. Pruning is hazardous.

This aloe has been driving me crazy for over 20 years #-o It is common in landscaping here. I'm sure it is a hybrid but does anyone have a name?

Thanks,

Re: Confirm ID please 2

Pachypodium looks good.
I am no expert on Euphorbias but the first one is a crest.

Re: ID, if possible, please

I'm not so sure it's a yucca. Was it outside in DC? Then probably yes. If on a greenhouse could be a Furcraea, maybe a young F. Roezlii or maybe bedinghausii.

Beautiful photos. I have a lot of Eriosyce and Copiapoa from a friend in Chile. I water them as my other cacti but also spray (as with my other cacti.) Am I missing something with your pics - where are the names?

Re: Where did everyone go.

Hi all, I have been a member of cactiguide since 2008. It's been a while since I posted (or looked at the forum) because for a time there was very little action and a number of my posts went unanswered. I still used the site often for reference. Anyway, things seem to have picked back up, so I am gl...

Re: Coryphantha or Mammillaria?

Magdanag umaga!
Coyphantha usually are solitary and looks like yours is pupping like crazy. I though maybe C. reduncispina except for that. I did not see the classic Coryphantha groove on the top of the tubercle, but that is no proof. You may just have to wait for flowers...

Red Aloe cameronii

Hi all, I am desperately seeking a good red Aloe cameronii, cutting or plant in the US. I have copper, chocolate, and bronze colored, but never found a good red. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Willing to buy or trade or whatever... I thought there was a list of mail order places here somewhe...

Re: The Cactiguide Haworthia Thread

\:D/ Great photos and plants everyone. My H. cooperi truncata kind of fell out of its pot and is the size of a baseball. Not growing in soil at all for about a year - how's that for the ultimate non-organic mix. \:D/ \:D/ I also use mostly inorganic mix - I would rather loose something to drying out...

Re: What kind of aloe?

From the llifle page on Aloe aculeata. http://www.llifle.com/Encyclopedia/SUCCULENTS/Family/Aloaceae/594/Aloe_aculeata It is easily identified from other similiar species with conspicuous sharp spines on the leaves in that it is the only known aloe whose spines spring from tuberculate white base bum...
