Re: A small collection: 2015 and beyond

Ended up watering a few plants last night and got lucky as the temps dropped down to a bit under 70f. Did the rest of them tonight and all good with the temp already at 67 at 10pm and dropping to somewhere near 61 tonight. Glad I got them all done. I think this is my last feeding with dynagro for th...

Re: Dramatic temperature drop - keep them outside or bring them in?

Probably very similar to Steve in Utah, just received a text from my sister in Colorado. Was in the 90's yesterday, and snowing now. How incredible.

Re: A small collection: 2015 and beyond

Oh my. This heat is getting old. Sorry you have had trouble with it. Up north it hit 108 yesterday and 111 today and hopefully cooling down starting tomorrow. I was going to put up another layer of shade cloth under my 40%, but the smoke in the air is having the same affect. With the low here tonigh...

Someone on Nextdoor posted this so I thought I’d help. I’m not very good at succulents ID’ing. Thanks if you can help.

Re: i think i am addicted

Still true, but I have slowed down considerably this summer. Only a couple of things on my list. Haven't really bought many plants lately, and have actually been giving some away. Have been spending time getting things into nicer and more appropriate pots. Was looking for a quick source for Coir ove...

Re: Nerd Alert: Watering - Updated!

I had the same problem. Have finally gotten it under control. I did get a scale and have been working on that this week. I am sure it will help me with my watering regime. It’s a big help.

Re: When Cactus Turn Yellow

Guys, I was in a local store the other day to pick up some coir. It was a store focusing on hydroponics and also marijuana growing products. I was absolutely stunned by the breadth of fertilizer products, and very specialized ones at that. Rack after rack of products, some of which contained only sl...

Re: A Blooming Thread

Steve, was looking at your pics from 7/18. Your set up and display is really nice. Great colors and style of pots, and really nice looking plants.

Re: When Cactus Turn Yellow

I had been using a 2-7-7 fertilizer last year and the first part of this year. I switched to the Dyna Gro Orchid Pro 7-6-8 and am really happy. Plants just look better, and better color I have noticed on several. I'm going to switch back to the 2-7-7 in mid September as I don't want the extra Nitrog...
