Re: Asclepiad seeds
I got ten Raphionacme seeds from an Italian seller, botanical-archive on Ebay. Two have germinated already in less than three weeks. They seem to list a lot of asclepiad seeds regularly, though nothing new since the 10th of August. You can arrange the "Items for sale" list for "Newly...

Re: Caudiforms
It's rather hard to get caudiciform seeds I think, except Dioscorea elephantipes, or Avonia, Adansonia, Pachypodium, Adenium, Sinningia, Tylecodon, Bowiea, Dorstenia, Schizobasis intricata. The term caudiciform is used rather widely, with many overlapping plants also that are succulents, or even ca...

Re: Caudiforms
I was growing a Petroselinum crispum subsp. tuberosum for three years in a five inch terracotta pot. The "caudex" got impressively large and gnarly. Very easy until it got some sort of fly in the root that I did not notice until it was too late. As long as you cut the flowers off, it just...

Re: Why do people Lurk and not Post?
Maybe some people are scared to look dumb. I know I have had some experience with some super aggressive plant nerds attacking me for a question I asked. People in our hobby can definitely come off as condescending, more so on other medias than here but it does happen. It can be intimidating at times...

Re: Leca balls / expanded clay clay aggregate
They are good for diluting a mix for dry growers but I would not use them on their own. They should be used (in larger pot sizes) in conjunction with other similar materials graded down from the size of the leca. For example... 7mm (leca) + 5-6mm + 3-4mm + 2mm + 1mm + 0.5mm. So what you are left wi...

I havent found anything on the internet that fits every characteristic and was wondering if someone could Id it. It has been repotted ad no longer has a fern grow...

Caudiforms
Hello! What are your favorite caudiforms to grow from seed. I havent tried any caudiform seeds yet and wanted to know which ones are relatively easy and if there are any that arent super painfully slow.
Thank you!
Thank you!
