Yes it is. Their flowers seem to be a different hint of red every year. I have a Glandulicactus that started to bud that also has darker red flowers

Couple more flowers today. The pink one is a Thelocactus which are usually more filled out

These Pilosocereus definitely have one of my favorite flowers. The depth inside the flower and they smell like sweet nectar

Finally seems like the growing season is starting. Going to give them their first real watering this weekend.

Would have to see a picture to give you a definite answer. Also, if you really like the plant and think it is worth 200$ then get it. It sucks these new internet cactus hipsters and driving the prices high so they can deal cactus and not work anymore
