Very cool plant! I saw some of these in a book and there were two forms; one form looked like a fero with very long tubercles (like Gio's plant) and the other looked like a Leuctenbergia principis with short tubercles.
Cool looking plants!
I was reading about Leuchtenbergia principis and the comment was that if they were going to put it in with the feros (to which it is closely related) that they would all become Leuchtenbergia species as the Leuchtenbergia name was first. (apparently named for the Prince of Luxembourg)
Has anyone seen these for sale, or do you have to make your own?

I haven't really come across many Leuchtenbergia's at sales...though i do have some at the nursery. I have never come across a hybrid Leucht. The closest i've come is a sweet looking principis monstrose from Miles.
Wish my leucht's were blooming now, instead of 3 weeks ago, cause i have a herrerae with 6 or 7 buds about to open!
