Help identifying this cactus
Hello, could somebody please identify this cactus for me? Purchased from a garden centre around a year ago, it's gravel had been glued together but there appears to be signs of new growth, thanks

Re: Help identifying this cactus
it's not a cactus, it's an Euphorbia. Possibly enopla because it's rather common.
Re: Help identifying this cactus
definitely Euphorbia, I would go with E ferox, similar to enopla, but photos are hard for perspective. take a look at this site and check yours.

could be E.enopla or E.ferox;
from one side thicker thorns like enopla, but shorter and less reddish.
for me also more probable E.ferox

flowers will tell you. used to be a great site, called euphorbia.de, but seems that is gone. any suggestions for new one
Re: Help identifying this cactus
The specks website still lists all the plants (though the nursery is closed down) :
www.specks-exotica.com/en/gallery/euphorbia/01/
And there's a nursery called Aridlands which seems to have a massive amount of them (879!), though not much information on both these website, pictures though

Oh yeah, and Bihrmann, though with a focus on caudiciform types :
