I found this on a Google search for eriosyce esmeraldana. I have no idea what it is. Maybe some kind of gymnocalycium monstrose freak of nature.

I saw this same picture looking up eulychinea castanea var spiralis just a few minutes ago.

this is some monstrose gymnocalycium; flowers are a give away. No idea about the species though.

Yes it looks like the unusual growth mutation gas also caused very wierd cristate growth on the flower. I still think it looks stunning.
