Any care tips? I bought one about a month ago. No blooms but it is making a bit of new growth. Sue

Mineral soil, leave dry in the dog days, water freely once the first autumn cooling arrives. Leave dry in winter. Extremely cold hardy if dry, and can take any amount of heat in summer. Flowers in autumn, but without good light they drag on into winter, and even spring. Needs full sun or it gets leggy and floppy instead of rocky and warty :)

Thanks Iann. My GH is still at 60-65F, should I keep watering it a bit? Several of my cactus are still blooming, so I assume they're getting enough light, even in winter. Sue

Still sounds like good growing conditions for a Titanopsis. Bit cold for most cacti though.

What would 60 to 65F be too cold for? Besides perhaps melos. Sue

The shape and coloration of the flowers is very attractive. My first Titanopsis (Mesa Gardens mix) seedlings just sprouted today. Thanks for the growing advice.

Not too cold to survive, just too cold to be watering them.

Lovely! Almost everything I've got is done flowering, except for Massonias and one Conophytum species. :P I think this is another species to put on my wishlist! Are the other Titanopsis species as cold hardy?

Happy growing!

There is always one more glochid. Somewhere.

This is on my wishlist as well, now. Thank-you Ian. I love the clumping.

I'll have a look at my plants for any seed, but I don't think there will be. I'm pretty sure I have some other Titanopsis seed though. I know I made an F2 cross from my T. primosii/hugo-schlechteri hybrids.
