once again great show!

And tomorrow some Sulcorebutia
actually that is a Lobivia: Lobivia caespitosa HS181

I am amazed at the number and assortment of plants you have assembled over the years. Especially nice are those huge specimens in your collection, e.g. the Astrophytum spp. Turbinicarpus spp., and others. Some of those plants are not easily obtained, even if they were small, e.g. Aztekium hintonii.
I also would love to try growing the two Pelecyphora spp., but those too are not commonly found, because only a few nurseries will have the necessary certification to sell them.
I do have a few questions I wanted to ask you:
1. What kind of Echinocereus is that shown on image 48525?
2. Does image 48583 show a Gymnocalycium sp. cactus, and, if so, which species is that?
3. Image 4886 is labeled "Solisia". Is that a newly created genus? If so, it is unknown to me.

Good afternoon Harald,

thanks for the kind attention of my plants!

I will gladly answer your questions.

1. it is Echinocereus knippelianus, later I will post a picture of the plant.

2. this is Sulcorebutia . . ., I have to take a look what spezies . . . :-k

3. Solisia is synonym to Mammillaria. ( Solisia pectinata by Britton & Rose 1923 )
I keep the plants under the name I get them, unless it is completly wrong.

Best regards

K.W.

P.S. good luck in finding the Pelecyphora !!!

That last Echinocereus is a monster. Shame that it's never flowered. Very unusual. You have a great collection. How many years have you been collecting? :)
-Dan
Happy growing!
