1st 4 are Lopho's, #5?
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

The all are and he knows that, he doesn't seem to want to type the genus name. I don't know the genus well enough yet. The species are a whole lot alike.
I'm now selling plants on Ebay. Check it out! Kyle's Plants

isn't that a bit paranoid? I've never seen anyone here making a fuss about lophophora species, unless of course one would advertize their ingestion... never happened to my knowledge!
With apologies to the late Professor C. D. Darlington the following misquotation springs to
mind ‘cactus taxonomy is the pursuit of the impossible by the incompetent’ - Fearn & Pearcy, Rebutia (1981)

It is likely due to his geographic location and local laws...in much of the USA owning any non-williamsii species is almost nothing to be concerned about with some discretion...in California it is very 8-[ as all species within the genus are illegal - possession can result in up to a year in prison. :shock:

This is probably the most comprehensive Identification page for Lophophora I have ever seen - http://kadasgarden.com/Lophophorachart.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'd agree - L. koehresii
Image I wasn't raised a Cactolic but converted to Cactolicism later in life ImageImage

It really shouldnt be a big deal...but I can understand his seeking to be careful. Did you see my post earlier in the thread?

Unfortunately when laws and those who enforce them enter the picture common sense, better judgement, and reality often matter very little.
