Some of my plants :)
Some of my plants :)
Was a member a while ago, then got lost in the land of leaves for a few years. Anyway here are some things that are going on out here.
Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus with Hylocereus undatus aerial roots growing into it. pulling off almost broke the graft join.
Astrophytum asterias crest
Astrophytum myriostigma nudum kikko
Austrocylindropuntia subulata
Gymnocalycium baldianum crest
Lophocereus schottii monstrose
Lophophora 'Jourdaniana'
Lophophora koehresii x L. fricii hybrid
Variegated hybrid.
Lophophora williamsii regrowth
Lophophora williamsii crest, my only wild collected Lophophora given to me by a friend who is getting pretty sick with a strange disease. So now its in my care. All that is known is its from Texas. In general i am quite against wild cactus, for the record I only took it as a gift.
Pelecyphora aselliformis crest
Trichocereus "boliviensis". Probably T. bridgesii.
Trichocereus bridgesii
Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose crest (crested penis plant)
Trichocereus bridgesii monstrose crest trying to flower
Trichocereus macrogonus
Trichocereus pachanoi
T. pachanoi from a crest plant, but not stretching.
T. pachanoi monstrose form also known to go crest in other peoples care.
Trichocereus spachianus
aerial roots
Recovery after severe spider mite infestation. Lophophora fricii.
Cactus growing new stems from non areole locations.
L. williamsii growing from center of vasc bundle on cut root.
Stenocactus sp. new stems growing from center of vasc bundle on cut surface.
Strombocactus disciformis graft that failed and looked like it completely died. 3 years after this little thing grew and now its flowering. The stock, M. geometrizans, has been growing abandoned in my root stock moms where i take cuttings from for new plants. amazing.
Strombocactus disciformis crest that is growing many new normal stems from the center of the vascualr bundle on a cut section.
Fungal rot.

Hey, I remember you. Glad to see you are still growing! You have some unusual selections in the mix.

I think the first 'strombocactus' is actually mammillaria pectinifera, or at least half mammillaria pectinifera. It'd be very cool if it were a hybrid of that and a strombocactus.

Welcome back yourself, Mughal. You haven't been on-line for awhile!
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Re: Some of my plants :)
Hey guys, thanks
I am fairly certain its Strombocactus, it is a crested specimen (grafted) with normal stems coming from the cut vascular bundle. I will try and get some pics up of the entire plant soon. I am in the beginning stages of repotting a greenhouse, I will get more pics when i start getting into it more.I think the first 'strombocactus' is actually mammillaria pectinifera, or at least half mammillaria pectinifera. It'd be very cool if it were a hybrid of that and a strombocactus.

I am so bad about going through this part of the forums. Welcome back Kada!
Great stuff you have there and hope the snail issues are solved. Sorry for using the "S" word
Talk to you soon, and take care.
