Our server is getting fairly short on disk space (Except for the capacity specifically purchased by the BCSS for its publication and electronic talks use). I have therefore arranged for the replacement of an existing 250Gb disk by a new 1Tb one.
This will involve a period of server downtime of possibly up to 6 hours as the existing files will need to be backed up and restored to the new disk. I am planning that Hostgator should do this work commencing Monday November 15th at 11.00pm GMT. Can web managers please propagate this information as widely as possible, particularly Forum moderators where it will affect quite large numbers of users. Subsequent to the upgrade I am planning to increase disk space allocations to users in cases where it will be useful without additional cost.
