Greenhouse completed: Day 4

Ready to move my cactus in. I may just leave the floor dirt for the time being. I will remove a few side panels for summer ventilation. it only takes about 30 seconds to put one in or remove it..

Yep that's me daiv.. The cactus will go in in the morning!! I have a nice metal table to put in there to set about half my cactus on, and I will have to use my barrels to put the others on until I can scrounge up some more tables..

Dagnabbit!! With my current arrangement of the metal table and a few 55 gallon drums, the GH is nearly full!! I didn't even get all my plants in there!! I mainly wanted to get them from being in the weather during my surgery as won't be able to move them in and out for a while. When I recover, I will build some perimeter tables and make other arrangements to utilize ALL the available space. I still have enough room to put another platform and get the rest of my C&S in there, and still be able to walk around, but it is going to be close with the arrangement I have now. I will get some pics tomorrow and let y'all see inside. I removed 8 of the vertical side panels, 4 on each side, for maximum air flow. They are in storage until late fall. The panels are easily removed when you remove the clips, but are otherwise stable. I also have a good wind break all the way around the structure. I have all confidence that it will hold up during bad storms. If it gets blown down, or a tree falls on it, my homeowners insurance should cover it.. It would have to be a powerful, bad storm to tear this thing down as it is well made and braced to the max. Also, with those 8 side panels removed, wind will be able to flow through it rather than against it..

Great job, Bill. Really looking good. Talking of running out of space a friend advised me to think of a size for greenhouse, multiply the size by two and then put three up!

You got that right Perry! I did get them ALL in ther though. Once again, when I get my staging properly done NEXT spring. I will be able to get twice the plants I have in there now.

Nice looking job Bill. An empty greenhouse!!! How I wish I had one, instead of a full one. There is hardly room for me.

Yeah John, I guess next year I will get another if the price does not go up to much between now and then. I want one GH specifically for seed propagation and grafting..
