Tom, nice. I know a few of those and a few of them I don't. They all look nice!
Looks like you might be a little bit ahead of me for Opuntia. I havent found any of the C. bigelovii blooming yet.
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

Spectacular photos, Tom. I'm surprised to see some of them flowering so early, actually. I wonder if this is echoed out in habitat, as I haven't been out all week.

It's a beautiful show of flowers and colors. Great!

PeterB,
I think its a little bit warm down south of me, so I would assume thats why some of the stuff up here hasnt bloomed yet. However a lot of the species I have around me are either blooming or really close to..

WE shall see. The big exception is the C. bigelovii its not blooming here as of yet, but its sending up the flowering things.. I guess I should call them segments?

Tom, those flowers are beautiful, what a great show! Basilaris has always a fasvourite of mine, and one that I would like to get my hands on, but I'd be happy with any of those.

Wow, top quality photos  You don't get to see those electric yellow microdasys blooms to often on here. Great overall selection

Beautiful! The flowers make all those glochids worth while... almost.

Tom,
Great Opuntia variety post. I remember the first time I saw O. bigelovii in flower. I personally love that subtle translucent glow they have. I wonder if anyone has photographed them with UV lights? It may be the most vibrant flower to a bug!

Great pics, Tom! The O. basilarus is a favorite of mine too. It is really spectacular looking at this time of year.

I think the surplus of rain this year is helping things along too.

TFS!

All of them are outstanding! I especially have grown to love the heart-shaped pads of the basilaris. Has anyone ever considered using one as a Valentine to another cactus-lover??
