Nice Tom. Are those Schlums named hybrids or just ones that you like? You've got some good colors there. My two "standard" color plants are blooming now too.

I really like the Thelo bloom.

No names as far as I know. --Just ones I liked.

I've got a lot of respect for the growers that develop striking colors though. All I ever get is pink.

hmm my moms were the standard pink ones but I had a white one that died I think when I was a kid.

We used to make cuttings of them by sticking them in a glass of water, or even just an empty glass and they would grow aerial roots.

I am hoping that my mom sends me some more.. I need so indoor cacti...
(edit)
Btw all of those are really neat ...:)
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

I was curious what would happen if I put one of those cute little "Angel Wing" microdasys in the ground.

It reverted to a more feral form in just a few months. --Glochids like cotton candy:

Those Opuntias look so friendly and non-threatening in the pictures!

Nice!

beautiful plants and flowers! I especially like the varieties of schlumbergera and the new growth on your opuntias, they just seem to say spring is here!

Those Opuntia pics are excellent -they rival those in Darryl's post.

When I lived in CA, I had all three varieties of O. microdasys in the ground. They do quite well that way.
