I must admit I wondered what was so dangerous too! The fire scenario certainly explains a lot, though it makes the statistic a little misleading...

I also comtemplated the potential for electric shocks while plugging it in (it's possible, albeit highly unlikely, and certainly not 1,200-worth...), or perhaps getting an eyeful from the squirty types, if there are plug-in squirties.

I have to agree on the poetic justice front though ;)
Sometimes, the world makes more sense when viewed upside-down...
