Yikes, what a terrible match from the French. No desire at all to make the match even a bit fun to watch. And that Mbappe seems to aspire becoming an equal irritating player as Neymar. Another good example, this time by the French, why football is becoming more and more a terrible sport to watch.

Professional footballers are out to win, not entertain and with the least expenditure of energy I am afraid Aiko, and national teams for the most part are comprised of professionals. I always find the cup competitions where the top teams play lower league ones more entertaining when the semi pro's attempting to be "giant killers" really go all out to win. Usually on an unpredictable pitch that is not the equivalent of a bowling green. It seems the top players now cannot play on surfaces that are not "snooker table smooth" and wetted before hand (or again at half time) so as to be predictable. No wonder the S. Americans were top teams for so long, having learnt their skills playing on the beach or rough surfaces where the ball bounces unpredictably.
