Hi all, Almost the end of another growing year. This one has not been such a good year for my plants, mainly because I have not been around to give them the attention they deserve. But all of my Titanopsis are looking really well, so I took a quick photograph of this one. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Take care everybody and have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Successful New year.

I like T. hugo-schlechteri, although I would name some of the T. schwantesii forms as the pick of the genus. It is certainly hardy to -4C and lower. I don't really know how much lower (certainly below -10C in the right climate), it just doesn't get below -6C here any more. This is also the only Titanopsis I have ever rotted, which may be a reason to not push things in a cold damp winter.

Flowers are scented on my plants.

T. hugo-schlechteri crosses readily with other Titanopsis, especially T. schwantesii, so watch out if you are trying to make seed.

I've been talking to John on PM and he is ready to retire from putting up the Cactus of the Month and the Succulent of the Month features. This feature was his invention and I think he developed it beautifully. He wanted me to share the knews and find if there was anyone who would like to "carry the flag" from here. So please do let me know if you are interested. We can have one person for succulents and one for Cactus too.

hi everyone, i'm posting this here in case anyone missed it in the cactus section, i will be doing the cactus of the month for a while, but i don't know enough about succulents to do that as well. it would be a shame to lose this great resource ......if anyone is interested i'm sure Daiv would be pleased to hear from you. :) if you are worried about formatting the posts i can help with that, i have made up a pre coded post format in notepad where you just paste the info in between the code, or you could PM the info to me and i could make the formatted post for you to use.

Flattery will get you everywhere

I was hoping to have one for October but I will be shifting house in just over three weeks so its a bit hectic here right now.

Finding a place to rent is the hard thing so I am off in the morning for a six hour drive to see some houses over the next couple of days. Then its another big drive home again Monday evening
phew!!!!!! and I have work on Tuesday

So please be patient

I'm sure everyone will be waiting patiently for your debut once things get settled down for you.
Be careful on your drive and I hope you find a nice place with a big yard for your cacti and succulents.
