Re: Succulents in flower
Wow! Does that 'roof' on the flower have a function of some sorts?

Hi ohugal!
It's a trap!
If I am not mistaken, they close a bit the top when they trapped an insect, and releases it after about 24 hours, so the insect can pollinates the flower.
Here is an interesting article about Ceropegia sandersonii.

Re: Succulents in flower
All beautiful, love the dichotoma especially, reminds of fusca a little. Is the sinocrassula monocarpic? Seems to be really really going hard
Growing some succs and cacs in mid/coastal Scotland.
Re: Succulents in flower
C. fusca is considered subspecies of dichotoma, quite similar, different stem and flower color, and fusca grows in drier environment.
Yes, Sinocrassula yunnanensis is monocarpic, but they grow in clumps very quickly. A lots of flowers for a small plant.

Re: Succulents in flower
Has Ceropegia dichotoma a fragrance?
Re: Succulents in flower
I don't think so. I can't smell any thing from the flowers.

Re: Succulents in flower
Those Ceropegia flowers are magnificent. The plant looks rather tropical, doubt I can keep it happy here (too hot and dry).
