Yea you can use big pots for fast growing cactus that eventually go in the ground. I don't know if they will grow faster ? Transplanting often seems to get cactus to grow faster.

If you point is to get bigger and fast growing plants you can use bigger pots of course. But should be very careful about over-watering. Because wet soil not reached by roots can stay very long time moist and this may cause rot.

Another thing: the space taken by plants and whole collection. For example, if our friend K.W. suddenly moves all plants into bigger pots then one or two extra greenhouses will be needed.
