Cacti and succulents in China

I moved to inland China about three weeks ago. I didn't expect to see many foreign succulents, let alone cacti, but to my happy surprise they are about as common as they are in the United States. The variety aren't very exotic, and many of them aren't very well taken care of, but it's still nice to see familiar friends here.

I will start sharing photos soon. I need to look into upgrading my photobucket account apparently.

If cacti are found in the most northern parts of europe and Canada i'm not surprised the have cacti in china. However i thought they are crazy on cultivars or that's the japanese?
Anyway, why not use the site's photo hosting sevice?

I think you're thinking of Japan. The popular Astrophytum myriostigma cultivar, Onzuka, is Japanese.

As for hosting the photos here, it's kind of a lot of pictures to try to resize so I think I'll just pay for photobucket.

Thanks for the assistance. Here are some of my pictures. I think instead of blasting y'all with pictures in the future I'll just start an instagram account. I'm still working out the details on that. Internet stuff in China is a little bit tricky.

As you can see, the health of the plants is pretty sad most of the time. I think, unfortunately, the people around here are pretty neglectful of their plants.
