First flowering from seed

Post by iann »

Always exciting, especially when you have to wait this long. This is one of my largest cacti now.

That must feel good for sure. How long did it take?

Nice plant Ian. I used to have a flowering one but lost it one very bad winter. The more uncommon form Notocactus nigrispinus is also a good one to get unfortunately they both died together, the perils of unheated greenhouses:-

I've stopped overwintering this in the greenhouse. It is quite hardy, but doesn't do well with that treatment.

Iann, great job on your cacti. That to me that is quite a accomplishment. You can be proud, I know I would be.
