Re: here's a few picture's from MY addiction...umm..collecti
I had Red Spider mite on a Gymnocalycium Denudatum over the Allotment in the Greenhouse. luckily Gymnocalycium's, and some are quite simple a generally lacking in spination. So staring at my cactus very hard , I actually found the best way to get rid of random Red Spider was to actually lick them off the body of the plant.
I also done this with the G. Baldianum at Nash's Garden in the conservatory . I haven't died yet and if anything I am getting a bit of extra protein in the diet . The G. Baldianum had the worse case of the Red Spiders. Seems to have taken off since the hot weather started.
Mealy bugs can be a bit of a pain. Although you can pick them off with a needle or dab them with meths, they tend to come back again from nowhere. And nobody seems to know of a systemic Insecticide still that will kill all Mealy bug stone dead, so the plant will thrive again.
back in the day Doff Sytemic used to be in, it had Malathion in. But eventually they got rid of that because of the Malathion.
.
I haven't really had to treat any of my cacti plants since, and nor do I like treating them with Insecticide.

Yes, that aloe does look very beautiful. I like the unique look of it. I'm sorry that that man had to squash that flower bud. I wish that people had more respect for one another.
Re: here's a few picture's from MY addiction...umm..collecti

And yes i am running low on space I've actually had to start putting stuff on the flooror inside the display case green house till i make room lol!

Let me kno if this is the right one, cause there's two old man cacti, in the picture. An old man of the Andes in the small pot next to a fairy castle cacti on its left and in back of the big old man/lady cacti (i call them snowpole cacti, but heard pple call them old lady cacti??) Isthis columnar peni$ cacti
