Share Adenium Obesum flower

Post by hendryterok »

All,
Just want to share my experiment by grafting 4 different colors on one rootstock, they are Mozza(White), Eyes of the Storm(Pink petal with red throat), Chimera(White and red strip) and Ozora(Red with white throat), names might be different in other county(?)

Regards,
Hendry

That's an interesting plant. My grandfather used to do that with apples.

I didn't post here to have an adenium, but I do actually.
Here's the link:

At the time it doesn't bloom anymore.

It still looks healthy, but doesn't want to flower right now. As far as I know it should of because the time is right. But who knows?

Impressive grafts. The flowers are lovely.

I apologize for hijacking your post, but since you seem to know your Adeniums, can you identify this one for me?

Hi Harriet,
Quite diffucult to ID it as now we have so many different color, have to dig up my file. That flower I think was released in 2004(?), It might be Calypso.
I attached 2 different flowers for comparison.
Regards :D

The leaves and color look about the same as Calypso, but my flowers are not quite so pointed and are a little more ruffled. If they can vary by that small amount then I'm calling it "Calypso" and calling it a day. Thank you!

Thanks for the comment cactuslee, here in Indonesia we only have 2 seasons, dry and rain have no problem in grafting
