Jade plant in zone 5a
Would i be able to grow a jade plant in zone 5a for the summer and bring it in in mid fall. i have a table in my backyard i want to put it on. Would a thanksgiving cactus be better to put outside?

That should work fine. We grow Jade plants as a landscape shrub in many parts of California, including those areas that get mild frosts in the winter. As long as you put it out after frost danger has passed and bring it in before the first hard frost of the fall it should do great. Keep in mind that if it has been indoors all winter it is likely to sunburn if you give it a lot of direct sun right away, so start it out in a shady spot.
