I give my cactus turns coming in to decorate the house. It is Joseph's coat and maverick's turn right now.

My house is too dark inside for house plants, so mine are all silk.

This is more or less and old school houseplant. Creeping Charlie, Plectranthus verticillatus, years ago it was one house plant in everybody's home.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I grow them outside! I have such a good place to garden that it does not bother me to have a house empty of plants. Besides, I can't use a hose on inside plants and I'm just too lazy otherwise!

I will admit to having a past history of house plant obsession though. The yucca in the pictures below started off as a small plant my favorite nurseryman gave me more than 35 years ago!

i just bought an English ivy to grow outside during the summer and bring in during the winter but i am scared to after reading its poisoning effects(after i bought it)on cats and dogs which are, difficulty swallowing, convulsions, vomiting, paralysis and coma makes me want to grow as an annual now. i know that my other houseplants are poisonous but not poisonous enough to cause that much damage.

I have cacti as house plants. I have some of the Epi type cactus. Christmas Cactus (S. X buckleyi) Hatiora, Rhipsalis ssp, and a poinsettia. Actually I have two one is at my house the other is at my ex's mom's house. The neglected one is doing better, I wonder why? LoL. Also we have some Sansaveria (I think that's how it's spelled) that are doing good. They like low light and are a good choice for inside or outside if it stays warm enough...
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.

Same plant, but in front of my Lunar Knights poster because Lunar Knights is just awesome, and this is the plant's normal spot anyway.

My sister also has a lucky bamboo, and my mom has some snake plants.

And of course I also have cacti that are usually in the house, but right now they're all outside.
We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

btw I am curious what can I grow inside other than cacti that can tolerate temps between around 95F at the hottest and 48F at the coldest inside with strong light?

It gets very hot inside when it's hot+humid outside and very cold when it's dry+below freezing outside. So far no problems with my cacti. I am nervous about my jungle cacti.. but I will keep my heater near them this winter.

A Cast Iron plant would be good if you can find a place with not much direct sun. I think it is the only houseplant that takes those temps.

I grow spider plants. Easy to grow and they take the heat, cold, and a lack of care. :)
