sulcorebutia purpurea
not sure that is right Arjen,
purpurea i think in this case should refer to purple flowers.

that was the name on the label it came with, of course you're right! s. purpurea is also said to resemble neowerdermannia vorwerkii which this plant doesn't really do neither, guess I'll have to put it up for ID....

I like them all, but that W. lanata is especially nice.

It all looks great!
Congrats for your milestone! Indeed that is a really satisfactory experience.

Wow, surprising to see a sulcorebutia tarabucoensis with a yellow flower since mine are red, googled it and it looks like they come in yellow and red.

Wait a minute...is that the erinaceum seed I sent? That flower looks very familiar. :) That is awesome!

You have really put together (and care for) quite a collection Arjen, great work.

Bryan, yes it is and thank you for the compliment! actually the first ever cactus I have ever grown from seed is now also the first to flower!
when I looked before the weekend it had two more buds opening, I hope they will still be open this afternoon
is it me or is the flower in your avatar the same erinaceum?

Minime, thanks!
