Flowers in the rain

Here's another long-flowering one. This started in March and is still going strong.

And this one started flowering in October! That's a bit of a cheat though because I made it go dormant until just a few weeks ago so there weren't any open flowers for most of that time.

This Mammillaria doesn't flower anywhere near as long, but it is worth it anyway. Which photo is better?

Just incredible Ian. Easy to forget those were taken in England with the even and dense spine growth and flowers a plenty!

Here's a different Eriosyce. Label says Neoporteria nigrihorrida but I have my doubts about that. Flowers are large. body is brown, and it never produces flowers in autumn.

And a baby E. senilis with its first ever bud. The spines have become much bigger since it moved to full sun and it is starting to look silly in a 2" pot.

Iann - It's interesting your carmenae blossoms are @ 3x the size & almost white compared to the one I have currently flowering. Lots of blossoms, but small & creamy, so pretty obscure. Got the plant last Fall, so I'm guessing 1st flowering. Is there a fair amount of variation in blossom size & tone?

Please post photos. Maybe my flowers only look big on my small plants? People often mention "creamy" flowers but they always seem to be white to me. I've seen various other flower colours, but always they appear to be hybrids. It has got to the point where I've even seen Mammillar carmenae "Albiflora" for sale, as if such a thing was surprising

Sorry, Iann, 1st time back on in a few days to see your post. And although blossoms aren't fully open (only time of day I had time to take pic), they really aren't much larger when fully open.
