Cool progress shot

Post by Arizona Fero »

Check out how great this agave is doing!. I bought this from BB Cactus farm about a year ago, it was on the discount table do to freeze damage, I think I got it for $ 7.00. I remember posting a photo of it after I planted it, and I also remember GS telling me, That Agave is getting ready to take off! Man he wasn't kidding. Take Care Martin

Lookin' good! I have lots of Agaves crowded under my Palo Verde trees. Sadly, I'm treating the one in my yard for rust. I don't know how that's going to turn out, it's going to be a real scramble if I lose that tree.
Agave
"American aloe plant," 1797, from Greek Agaue, proper name in mythology (mother of Pentheus), from agauos "noble," perhaps from agasthai "wonder at".

Rust is a name used to describe any number of fungal diseases. It's usually associated with conifers and fruit trees.
