Echinocereus concern

Post by ocelot »

I've got a E. reichenbachii that I'm concerned about but I dont have a photo. Some of the areoles have brownish spots and when I press against it it feels squishy. I do water it carefully but its late autumn where I am. I know that I should be giving it a rest but I water occassionally to ensure that the plant doesn't loose it's roots. I'm a little paranoid that I'll loose this one.

I've also seen areas that look watery, which prompts me to think overwatering. This one might be off to an early grave but I hope not.

I've tried to water it a couple of days back, we'll see what happens. I'm prepared to expect anything.
