I think I did okay

Postby cactushobbyman » Sat May 05, 2012 2:11 am

Our local cactus club invites a different dealer each month to sell cacti at our meetings. This time I bought two, I think I got a good deal. Total for both was 19 dollars.

The Astrophytum myriostigma is in a 6" pot and is 4.5" tall and 4.5" in diameter. The other is in a 2.5" pot. Any plain Jane cacti at Lowes, HD or even Walmart starts from about $3.00. The small one was $4.00 and the bigger one was $15.00. Internet alone is $5.00 freight on any shipment. The only time I see these local is at our cactus club meetings and most of the time they are even more. California isn't cheap.

For that kind of plants and of that hight here I would pay about 12$ (9eur). But if plants are healthy and if you re satisfied....then it's just the right price.

Nice plants BTW.

To me that looks really odd. My A. myriostigma is a lot smaller than my A. ornatum and so your picture makes my head spin

if you are willing to pay what someone is asking and you want the plant bad enough the price is always right in my mind.
