There are many meanings for the word pico in Spanish, but i think in this case one spine would cover it.

Ahh , thanks Darryl : pico is more like birds beak and usually not a cactus spine, - I should start learning some spanish!

Thanks for all the great coments.
@iann: yes there are still some Neoporteria subgibbosa to flower in the coming weeks. Turbinicarpus are a little joy everytime the sun is shinig after a dull period.
Also had the first flowers today on this wilcoxia schmollii that Ralf sent me last jear, thanks again for the wonderful plant Ralf!

Hello Ralf, one of the two clones of W. schmollii you gave me flowers and one doesn´t (the smaller one).
Here is another picture of the blooming rubber plant.
