At least I believe that is what it is.
Got some decent shots of this Small California native succulent in bloom yesterday.
They only appear to grow on steep rock faces with little to no competing vegetation.
When you go to look for them in the heat of summer they are almost imposible to find if you dont know exactly where to look.
Here they are right in the middle of this image.

Yes, of the decomposing variety. :)
I have been collecting some very attractive DG top dressings from the shores of this lake for a few years, but was unable to this trip because it was at full pool and my favorite collection spots are under 3 to 5 foot of water at the moment.
