How about sticky-ing the "New Kind of Spam" thread? Every time I want to report one, I've got to go searching.

i thought about that for a day or two, now its done. it might help speed up my almost daily spam checks in the mornings while the US is still asleep.

well most of us anyways. I can't sleep at night anymore!

Hey everyone - the spammers were having a field day with the changed settings of the new forum. I switched new registration to require manual activation for now and deleted all the spam users and their messages!

Now let's see if I can get those pictures working!

Now that the forum software is updated, you can click the ! button in the upper right of a post to report it to the moderators. It's easier for everyone than using a thread like this!

I removed one just about an hour ago. The post even included pics!
I don't know how to go in and remove the pics from the server. They were advertising fake passports...

I believe there is a setting that enables pruning of images that are not used in posts. Will eventually figure that out too.

Thanks for asking first. Members who contribute here are welcome to plug other websites, events, etc. as much as they like. However, this site is NOT a place to post a link or make a pitch and then not participate in any other way.

So if you want to be part of the group, we welcome you and your website too. On the other hand if this is the last we hear of you, I periodically remove links from signatures or remove profiles entirely.
