cool
I like the labels on the pictures - quality work!
very beautiful! I somehow can't grow this species...
is it normal for it to have such variable flowers?

I said it before and I'll say it again beautiful absolutely beautiful. I just never tire of looking at these flowers. Some people say they can't see the fascination of cacti as the flowers, although extraordinary, they don't last long, but I think that is the best thing, you wait for them to bloom and are then rewarded with a spetacular like this.

Re: My little collection
Wow, I like the vibrant Mam. flowers!
A cactus and succulent collector who especially likes Ariocarpus. …Though I have a bit of everything! Want some pictures? See my flickr! I also do art and such.
Re: My little collection
Wow, absolutely pristine Mammillarias! Well done! I'm a sucker for hooked spines!
Disclaimer: I'm in sunny Arizona, so any advice I give may not apply in your circumstances.

You're right about the Mamms, but that "I'm a sucker for hoked spines" comment, I don't know about that one. I actually made an order last week for a different species of Mamm, but I ended up with the M. bocasana, and that thing is unforgiving when it sticks you
It has hooked me twice, the first time unwrapping it, and once when I was reaching for another cactus next too it. The second time I got hooked, by two of the spines. It hooked me so good I actually pulled the plant right out of its pot
I respect them hooked spines now, trust me! I take extra care now when I work near that plant.
