2012 Photo Contest Schedule
January – Your Oldest Cactus or Succulent
Which one is your oldest plant?
February - Subterranean Cacti
Not all cacti are tall; this contest is devoted to those cacti at ground level. Just don’t step on them!
March - Seedlings
Unlike most topics, this one is devoted to your young ones.
April – Your Cutest Cactus or Succulent
This topic is all about that adorable cactus/succulent in your collection.
May – Color Red
Choose something red – anything! (On a cactus or a succulent of course!)
June – Your Best Photo Taken During the Contest Week
Did you just take that perfect photograph of your cactus/succulent this week and want to show it off? Well, here is your chance!
July – Cacti of New Mexico
This topic reaches out to all of the species found growing in New Mexico. This topic is not limited to habitat shots; it just has to be of a plant that is native to New Mexico.
August - Cacti/Succulents with No Spines
It’s not all about the spines. This topic is for those lacking them.
September - Fruits
This topic is devoted to the fruits of cacti.
October - Ribs
This topic is for those creative shots of the ribs on your cactus or succulent plant.
November – White Spines
This topic is for those cacti with white spines.
December - Creative Cacti Re-Re-Re-Revisited
Get creative for the traditional End-of-the-Year favorite for many of us. This includes succulent-based ideas too.
And most of all - Have Fun!
