Grigsby sold me Grusonia invicta, 2010
Hi, I am growing Grusonia invicta I bought in person at Grigsby Cactus Gardens. I love it. It is not that large yet, but it's grown a new 3" or 4" branch since I bought it. The armament is fearsome.

Dropped by Shady Way Gardens again today...they are now OUT of Grusonia bradtiana & G. kunzei (BUMMER on the latter!! I just *knew* I should have kept that one in my cart last time I was there!).
However, they do have several Grusonia emoryi (being sold under the old name Opuntia stanlyi), as well as some very nice specimens of Grusonia clavata.
Cheers,
Tristan

Peterthecactusguy - are you still looking for Grusonia species?
If so, are you looking for specific ones?
I ask because I recently visited several nurseries in Tucson and found several species.
Cheers,
Tristan

It wasn't me I swear I am too poor to drive across the country to steal someone else's plant..(on a serious note, cause I was joking) My Grusonia is starting to take finally I think.
I have been very busy of late and haven't spent much time on here but the beat goes on, my cacti still get water and are still happy for the most part
BTW after a very bad thunderstorm my O. 'Baby Rita' hybrid got blown away. I found the pot but no pads.
I split it and the one in ground desicciated faster then I thought was possible. One day fine, next day.. was basically dried to death...
:/ I will get some next year and grow them in the pot and hope that no storms blow them over. I need to get some shade cloth too.

(edit) I am still looking for Grusonia. I will probably get a few from Darryl whenever I get around to getting some money on my paypal account.
I rarely get down to Tuscon, but if you are going Tristan let me know. Maybe we could make the drive down there together on a long weekend when I don't have classes.
