Remember me?

Post by Moonbeam »

Hey! It's Moonbeam! I haven't logged in here in ages. Been busy, got a Russian Tortoise about a couple years ago, and then a year ago we got a little parrot and he definitely keeps me busy. And facebook is so time consuming too!

I've had this cactus for around 20 years, it has just bloomed for me the last 2 years, and I don't know what it is...

but I really wanna know. I'm terrible at identifying these suckers, but I'm guessing Parodia or Echinocereus.

I do stalk ya'll every now and then, just don't log in and post as often as I should. Things been bloomin' like crazy down here in Galveston County!

Howdy! I remember you :D

It looks like a Parodia/Notocactus to me maybe roseoluteus.

Just curious -- any chance it could be P. herteri? Spines look like my roseolutea but the flowers are different. Or maybe that's normal variation? (I'm not familiar with P. horstii.)
