Yes DG is right.
I am toying with the Idea of building a raised scree bed for alpine and high elevation desert natives. I have most of the materials but I am still mulling over the best method of irrigation. Drip vs mini-misters vs soaker tubing vs a sub-surface reservoir that uses capillary action vs a combination of several. Natural summer precipitation is not a reliable option. Especially since we don't get any.

I had to get way down and dirty to get that one. Turned out good though, so the effort wasn't waisted.
