Tucson

Post by Ralf »

I'm now in Tucson. We had a very warm welcome.
We'd like to spent some time here in Arizona.
The Echinocereus bloom begins soon and my cameras are ready therefor.

Welcome to our state! I've driven through Tucson a few times, but never stopped to look around. Be sure to visit B&B Cactus Farm: http://www.succulentguide.com/piclocati ... cnumber=49

Ralf,
cool. If you head my way give me a holler!
Enjoy your stay in AZ! It's such a great state to see cacti, including the Echinocereus which are now just beginning to bloom.

Thanks guys!
We'll have a great time. It's a beautiful country and here live very friendly and hospitable people. We'll enjoy this.

Just remember, this is AZ, there's a rifle behind every cactus.

Ralf and Dani were welcome guests for a good ole "AZED Tucson Bar-B-Que" last night. T-bone steaks under the stars. Ah-there is some sanity in the world.
What wonderful people they are. We are lucky to have them as friends.

Daiv and Pieter--Hi back at cha.
From soon to be a bit warm Tucson,

Thank you,

GermanStar,
That is "glass 1/2 empty"----"glass 1/2 full"=
In front of every rifle there is a CACTUS.
I haven't heard a machine gun fire for months now.

Ed, I suppose that depends on things. There are also an awful lot of bullet scars in cacti up near where I live. And btw I might mention that I live far from the border and all the trash I find is bud bottles and shotgun shells and old tires!

From somewhat (Safe??????) Central AZ.

(I mostly worry about being shot while hiking because I was looking at a cacti someone wanted to shoot at!)

Ah! The extremely rare (or is it very common?) Echinomastus invisibilus! Great find. Very subtle colors on those flowers. I'm jealous!
