Unknown Mamm.
I got a few of these from a friends they were clearing some brush to build on so i figured i might as well get before they got demolished.
They grew in the under brush of the mesquites.
They were in the south Texas coastal bend area about 2 miles from the coast.
It has 13 centrifugal spines and 1 center spine.
Light pink flowers.
I figure its gotta be one of these two.

On your last post, I thought M. heyderi subsp. macdougalii looked close... but you've got pics of flowers now and from what I can find, that one doesn't have pink flowers... so M. heyderi v. heyderi is probably it.

I wasn't raised a Cactolic but converted to Cactolicism later in life

Matt, that would be great if you could but don't go out of your way. I just hope the cattle don't trample them all.
Even though it's not a fancy mamm, I've always liked this form of heyderi; the flat one with short spines.
After my post, above, I was contacted by another member who offered some two year old seed grown heyderi but the spines are longer. I bought one of them plus two other small mamms he had- grahamii and albicans.
