Cactuscity website
I just stumbled upon a nice website by accident. Is this site maintained by one of the members of cactiguide.com?
The site is http://www.cactuscity.info/gallery.html
Very exquisite pictures and good reference material.

Cool site, but from the copyright dates it appears that it has not been updated since 2008. Is it a German site? I don't recognize the language on the home page.
Whatever/whenever/whoever, the site has some lovely photographs!

I think it's very unlikely that it's someone here, they would have said so.
harriet, it's dutch. so it could be from the netherlands or belgium.

I finally got an email response from the owner of the cactuscity website. His name is Arno Gubbels. I am posting it here for all of you to see.

Hello
Thank you for these compliments.
Well, I do speak and write a bit of English.
I'm living in the Netherlands, the lower part between Belgium and Germany.
I'm growing my cacti in a greenhouse, and I started the hobby at the windows
from our house.
My specialty are Matucana and other Peruvian cacti and Sulcorebutia.
Then there are a few Melocactus and a few others.
I know the site cactiguide.com. I don't have much spare time but I will
create an account on the site.
I'm self employed, so always busy.
Regards Arno Gubbels

Hello
So here I am my self
Because of work I neglected my hobby a bit.
Its not the cacti I make my living with.
Working a lot, a wife an old car to restore and a dog, takes a lot of time.
And also on the website is some work to do.
A lot of new pictures, a guestbook that works again
And some other issues. And maybe an english version
But now in winter time, i do have some time left.

Arno, your collection looks very tidy and clean. Good job!
But which soil do you use? It looks like pure pumice.
I'm looking forward to your onlineshop! Have a good time at CactiGuide!

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.
