My ugly opuntia

Wow Dustin! That's really impressive! You'd never guess at first look it'd end up like that with so much new growth. I've been told Opuntias are pretty hardy, I'm planning on giving one a go in my new garden here in South East UK when we move. We had a really harsh and long winter this year, killed some of the normal plants even, so would give it a bit of protection if I did plant one out.
That's inspirational, really :wink:

That is a nice plant. I like it.
I have four Opuntia in my garden that look a lot like it. They came from Silver Springs Cemetery before they plowed all of the cactus under. Mine are hybrids in my opinon, but I'm not sure.

Congrats on the new growth.If it wasnt an opuntia I would have called it a goner.Amazing plants.
