One of the plants you gave me has buds on it!

And btw Those P. greggi's look nice too! I know it will take mine awhile to get to blooming but.. :)

I started using my sons camera and using Photoshop to process them and I think the pictures are much improved.

More Gymnos started blooming so here are some pics along with some others.

A wide-ish shot...

G. baldianum

G. bayrianum

G. denudatum

Two G. vatterii shots; I couldn't choose.
Image
Image

Some Astrophytum

A. asterias - this is the biggest one I have. It's about 4.5" across and 2.75" tall.
Image

These two were nearly decimated by rodents. It's made a nice comeback. These are the first flowers.
Image

A. myriostigma ssp. capricorne
Image
Image

Echinocereus knippelianus - I got this plant from Corona Cactus last April. It's grown quite a bit and after flowering it's decided to make some offsets. They're not ideally positioned...
Image

This is the big brother. No new offsets for a few years, but it's getting bigger.

That's all for now!

Tim,
like usual you have wonderful plants.
Those Astrophytums are looking nice. :)

So are your Gymnos. The G. baldianium is pretty neat. I like the red flower :)

Oh, how I like your plants! It's really a particular collection with really beautiful plants. You do a very good job! =D>
I should visit you when I'm back again in Arizona next year.

Many thanks Peter and Ralf!

Ralf, you are welcome to come visit any time. I'm about 30 miles north of Phoenix airport. Very easy to find.

I'm going to have to show those G. vatterii shots to the plant I just got from Craig. That will give them something to aspire too. :D

Ralf, if you stop at Tims, you should stop by my way too. I don't live that far from Tim, maybe 30 miles. :)(I live about 45 miles north of Phoenix, Tim lives southeast of me!)

Tim,
No problem. Your plants are wonderful. I am waiting for those buds to produce some flowers :)

@Daiv - that G. vatterii is one of my favorites. Awesome spines and interesting flowers. I wasn't too keen on the flowers at first, but they're grown on me.

With spines and a body like that it could make Stapelia (sp?) flowers and I wouldn't care!

Tim, those G. vatterii are nice too. They have cool spines. Just noticed them when I went back to see which plant you and Daiv were talking about. :)

One of these days I need to buy some cacti and get some seeds as well :)
