love the snake shot!!
Do you get lizards? We have a couple of species around Reno but they can't be found in the city. Besides my cats would make short work of them.

Whoops, the snake will eat small toadsRayC wrote:Had to check the garden after warmth and humidity of the past couple day, thought there might be some slugs around,,,,,,,,,,,instead found
I'm not sure whats going on but the slugs still aren't out. The last three times it rained, including this morning, I looked long and hard but couldn't even find one I already bought the cheapest beer I could get for a few traps but may not even need it the way things are going.
Opuntias have gone mad the last few days after having tiny buds for weeks.
No lizards, might find salamanders in the woods, but its to warm and dry in the garden for them.John P Weiser wrote: Do you get lizards? We have a couple of species around Reno but they can't be found in the city. Besides my cats would make short work of them.

Also found quite a few Cicindela sexguttata in the garden after the rain and clouds cleared.

First flower of the year
Finally this one decide to bloom. I missed the first flower when away this weekend but at 10 or so this AM:
And 1 1/2 hrs later I had 3 blooming:
I had gotten this last spring as a really small plant, looks quite happy now.
Beginning to get crowded with the new growth:
I may have a couple new first time bloomers (for me) also, time will tell as always.

Another first time bloomer for me, I only had about one minute to take a pic before T-storm hit (and I don't know if it will be open still tomorrow). Label says Opuntia 'pony':
