Eriosyce

Post by LeeVan »

Hi,
I've found this black spined beauty without a label. The grower could'nt give me a name, but it was saying Eriosyce to me.
Best match so far: E.heinrichiana ssp. simularis
No flowers yet, but the spines and looks make me think i'm on the right track.

My first impression was Lobivia/Echinopsis. But i see some Eriosyce possibilities.
Horridocactus curvispinus?

Seems too heavily spined for Eriosyce.

It looks identical to my plant i have labeled Neoporteria (Eriosyce) clavata var serenana.
Completely Confused, yet Completely Addicted.
